Here is a picture of a paisley tattoo design that I came up with and tattooed on Rhea last night. I am quite proud of it though I am still in the process of really learning to be good with my line work and trying to be really better with every tattoo that I do. I am grateful for everyone who has been and is letting me do my own original art in their skin. Thanx!
On the other note, i will also start teaching Comics Art in John Liechty Middle School for their after school program. So that will actually give me more time that I haven’t had in a while to focus on doing more comics while at the same time getting paid for it and not to say that I will be helping young teens develop their own comics and art and hopefully make a positive impact in their lives. Word!

BTS - The Making Of The Lisa Frank Costume
If you were a female and grew up in the 80’s, there is no doubt in my mind that you know who Lisa Frank is. Lisa Frank’s brand represented my youth in such a nostalgic way. I remember my sister and I would save money to buy her stationary and stickers. Yes, I did have a sticker binder, and yes, I would get together with other girls and trade stickers. After all, it was the cool thing to do, duh! Hahaha!
I was completely over the moon when I heard that Urban Outfitters would be releasing a vintage Lisa Frank collection at their stores. After scouring their online store and watching their latest interview with the master herself, there was no doubt in my mind what I wanted to be for Halloween, LISA FRANK!!!!!!
It took a great deal of creative power and a ton of fabric paint! Not forgetting to mention the amount of hours that went into making it.
Above you will find some behind the scenes photos of the creative process. I hand drew and painted each piece that went into creating the costume. The costume was made from head to toe by me, including the unicorn horns/headband. (will post DIY for that soon….)
Labor of love indeed! Thanks Lisa Frank for being such an amazing source of inspiration. It truly was the best Halloween to date!
xoxo- Drea
